About the Job

Our client has a requirement for a Senior Technical Lead for a 6 months contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

Role:

The Technical Lead will be part of production support team that is currently working on performance tuning of several online business banking applications.

 

Responsibilities:

• The contractor will be responsible for measuring the overall performance of several applications, managing the day to day issues, help with shift transitioning, ensure issues are treated with urgency, follow up on root cause analysis, oversee projects and track to implementation and closure.
• The ideal candidate will have several years of software development experience within the financial industry.
• We are looking for a strong lead who will oversee day to day staff (group of approximately 10) ensure tracking of project activities and completion of project as well as ensuring the group is getting required training; cross training is in place.

 

Qualification:

• Bachelors in an IT related field
• 8 years of development experience in a production environment
• Management or Lead experience is required
• Performance tuning experience
• Oracle database (10 or higher)
• Java
