Our client has a requirement for Project Manager for a 6 month contract opportunity.  The positions are located in downtown Toronto.

Deliverables
• Work with the necessary stakeholders to move the current project-based application support and maintenance model, including the integration of support processes, tools, and metrics into a structured operations model at a recipient organization.
• Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders i.e. Health Data Branch, Community Care sectors.
• Provide an overall status report to the SPM, Solutions Group on the transition activities across CCIM.
• Manage the implementation of the transition methodology and framework within each project. In this role the PM will identify the requirements for transition activities and business processes for internal and external customers in support of the transition goals and objectives and ensure the success of the CCIM investment projects.
• Ensure that characterization and stabilization phases are completed with each solution transition prior to transitioning to permanent service provider.
• Manage risks associated with the transition plan and escalate issues to the SPM, Solutions Group as required.
• Manage the transition plan for each project and leverage/apply completed work with new projects.
• Participate in Project Steering Committees as it relates to discussions about transition activities.
• Manage and collaborate with the other transition resources to ensure deliverables are met.
• Develop and present reports and reporting metrics for the application support team and management group via Service Management.
• Design and implement strategic governance models for sustainability.
•    Detail the project plan to support the execution of the CCIM Transition Strategy Project Management of the CCIM Transition
o Define and create a portfolio structure within CCIM to absorb the operations and solutions delivery functions within CCIM
•    Define project and service provider team structures to support transition
o Work with service providers to define required support structure to meet application support and maintenance needs
o Work with service providers to review and develop support processes and define tools integration
• Acquire and manage appropriate project resources (including monitoring, controlling and evaluating project team to ensure they adhere to and are in compliance with the existing organizational polices)
• Liaise with project team to design, develop and implement a total solution
• Work with the vendor and user groups to ensure a successful knowledge transfer occurs with technical support application support and business users
• Manage day to day project planning through use of project management methodologies, techniques and tools


Requirement or Qualifications:
• Project management experience (large scale projects)
• Thorough understanding of business/technical issues surrounding the launch of an application and further releases
• Substantial experience in operations management issues and service level agreements
• Able to design, implement and maintain business ownership models
• Experience implementing strategic recommendations into operations while taking into consideration the political, business, financial and technical constraints
• Experience in the use of project management software
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Experience in Ontario healthcare sector


Other  
• Experience in the community care sector is an asset

Our GTA client has a requirement for a Systems Analyst for a 6 months contract position located in Toronto.


Deliverables
•Serving as lead virtualization SME and consulting with architecture and security teams to develop virtualization strategy for key validated solutions
•Experience with Physical to Virtual (P2V) migration tools.
•Develops technical strategies for the application of new technologies and provides analysis on the system impacts related to the potential implementation of such activities.
•Recommends the selection of tools to assist organizations in delivering services.
•Participates in business process re-engineering to understand the impacts of technology on the broader system.
•Develops business cases as required for the analysis and evaluation of a variety of solution options within the context of the project.
•Develops technical specifications to support functional specifications in collaboration with business analysts.
•Performs a variety of data analysis tasks to understand system implications and impacts.
•Responsible for liaising with vendors for supporting the development of technical specifications as required.
•Provides support activities for technical stakeholders with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
•Contribution to test criteria definition and problem resolution.
•Configuring various IT environments that will support the application; e.g. network, server, testing, QA, and production
•Assist in the development of program wide technical standards and artifacts
•Assist in the design, development and testing of application components, interfaces and integrations
•Document existing systems capabilities (user interfaces, functionality, data and reports) as configured and delivered and develop procedure, operation and support processes and manuals
•Gather appropriate business and technical stakeholder input for design issues and options
•Assist in other aspects of the project including the implementation of infrastructure components
•Project process automation and operational automation


Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 
•3+ years hands on experience building, maintaining and supporting a VMware virtualized infrastructure
•Multiple years IT infrastructure experience specializing in infrastructure virtualization
•Proven experience architecting virtual infrastructure solutions
•Track record of successful delivery of major transition/infrastructure deployment projects
•Deep understanding and hands-on experience with the VMWare technology stack
•Strong hands-on technical experience with enterprise technologies such as datacenter and network (SAN, AD, DNS, etc)
•Experience with WAN and LAN technologies
•Experience in network design and architecture
•Experience with the creation of Infrastructure Design Documents
•Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis of Infrastructure and Application Issues
•Expertise in Citrix Technology (XenApp and Netscaler)
•Proficient in Evaluating New/Recommended Technologies and/or Solutions
•Ability to independently manage assignments
•Experience in technical specifications development and system analysis (as appropriate to the specified experience level).
•Understanding of business and system modeling techniques/tools.
•University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent working experience
•Experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Communicate with peers and managers regarding storage administration issues.
  • Manage equipment/asset tracking activities (e.g. racking, decommissioning and related documentation activities).
  • Work with experienced Systems/Database and Network Administrators on maintenance of environment.
  • Provide instructions, guidance and mentoring on best practices to members of the Infrastructure/Operations team.
  • Use scripting languages to automate tasks and gather data (i.e. for reporting purposes) where appropriate.
  • Support DBA in managing interaction with the database server and the data storage
  • Consult on and communicate the implications of the capabilities, limitations and potential enhancements of the database repository.
  • Manage and maintain all documentation related to the design, build and maintenance of data storages


Qualifications:
  • Hands on experience in large data centre with SAN and NAS storage devices housing multiple terabytes of storage capacity
  • Expert in data storage protocols including CIFS, FC, FCoE, iSCSI, and NFS
  • Expert knowledge of NAS, SAN, and the limitations and benefits of each
  • Expert knowledge of EMC RecoverPoint and SnapView
  • Expert with zoning, file and volume management, clustering and replication, backup and recovery solutions, high availability, storage consolidation, performance and tuning
  • Hands on experience with brocade fiber switches
  • Ability to follow and adhere to policies, procedures and standards relating to Systems management:
    • Windows operating systems.
    • WAN data replication techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, CIFS, DNS and Microsoft Active Directory
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in order to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple complex tasks, with tight deadlines concurrently.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform well in a dynamic environment, with on-time delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to use problem solving techniques such as root cause analysis to resolve issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and present effective materials, including presentations, status reporting, technical diagrams and flowcharts.

Requirement or Qualifications:
The right candidate provides direction and assistance in order to meet assigned objectives on company’s steam and gas turbine power generation equipment. In this role, you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning at customer power generating facilities. In this position, you will:


Essential Responsibilities 
  • Perform on-site installation of systems and equipment and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair and calibration after installation
  • Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services to troublesome equipment
  • Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair and maintenance at customer's sites
  • Develop and further expand technical knowledge and expertise, currently recognized industry standards for engineering ability
  • Perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheet and expense sheets on a complete timely, and thorough basis
  • Provide leadership and technical direction to skilled labour performing work on customer sites
  • Maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements
  • Knowledge to troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance checkout for wide range of equipment vintage
  • Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outages
  • Support projects throughout Canada, focusing on our customers in Western Canada
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively in a fast pace, high-pressure environment
  • Financial understanding of shutdown maintenance and cost tracking.
  • Foster a culture of Safety, Quality and Timeliness


Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a Field Services role)
  • Minimum of 2 years field service experience
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% of the time
  • Possess a valid drivers’ license
  • Posses a valid passport and be able to travel outside of Canada

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred

Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for a 3 month contract opportunity with possible extension beyond the initial contract period.  The positions are located in Ottawa, Ontario (K1A 0N8)

Requirement or Qualifications:
 Qualified Candidates will have:
  • Experience with Wiki functionality.
  • Experience with custom UI (Drupal powered Wiki )
  • .NET
  • Experience with Lucene (Zend) Search Framework, Google Search Appliance or other relevant search API.
  • Experience in building CMIS and ICOM compliant Web services.
  • Review functional requirements to incorporate information and procedures into the Collaboration / Web 2.0 Infrastructure solution.
  • Develop and recommend integration options for meeting requirements.
  • Communicate to, and consult with staff or clients as appropriate, to ensure that the Collaboration / Web 2.0 Infrastructure solution responds to client needs.
  • Review Project deliverables related to integration of  components Develop using .NET
  • Build custom ASP.NET and C# modules dealing with MS Office server-side automation, Adobe PDF API, Encryption API and other relevant technologies.
  • Provide guidance and advice with regards integration with RDIMS / eDOCS API
  • Develop CMIS and ICOM compliant Web services.
  • Provide guidance and advice with SOAP and REST services and WS-Security standards for MS Office integration.
  • Assist with the development of flexible Notifications and Alerts engines, including mobile alerts, as required.
  • Work with programmers, and applications, network, database and systems administrators to develop and define detailed solutions, and participate in the Collaboration / Web 2.0 Infrastructure solution development process.
  • Define and document all system components, their interfaces, and operational environment within the context of the Collaboration / Web 2.0 Infrastructure solution environment.
  • Develop test strategies, including test plans, test cases and testing checklists, and coordinate or perform integration and acceptance testing.
  • Investigate problems with Collaboration / Web 2.0 Infrastructure Project experienced by staff or clients, carry out further testing if necessary, document and report the problems as appropriate, identify possible solutions, document the fixes, and follow up with affected staff or clients.
  • Provide Project office staff, user and client support by responding to questions, and training staff on how the Collaboration / Web 2.0 Infrastructure Project functions.
  • Recommend changes to current business components applications to alleviate operational difficulties, improve processes and add new functionality.
  • Draft and maintain documentation of Collaboration / Web 2.0 Infrastructure solution, including manual processes and operational procedures, using standard documentation techniques.
  • Support business requirements by evaluating current and proposed Collaboration / Web 2.0 Infrastructure solution components against the Business Requirements Document.

Our client has a requirement for a Senior Derivatives Business Analyst for a three month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

Role
We are looking for a Senior Derivatives Business Analyst to work on the Implementation of G20 Summit / Dodd Frank Initiatives. The successful candidate will review requirements for swap execution facilities and trade repositories.


Responsibilities
Elicit Requirements
  • Analyze the current state in order to create the design, definition and documentation of business requirements and associated technology and processes
  • Proactively draw out and document requirements, information and assumptions (implicit/explicit) from stakeholders using a variety of tools and techniques
  • Understand, challenge, probe, categorize, prioritize, document and reconcile information and requirements
  • Validate that the stakeholder’s needs have been understood and correctly captured/documented
  • Obtain signoff for requirements

 Requirements Management
  • Identify the customers/clients, users and stakeholders to determine who should be involved in the requirements gathering process
  • Track and manage changes to requirements throughout the project life cycle
  • Ensure traceability of appropriate design, solution and documentation to business requirements
  • Understand, prioritize and plan the approach based on dependencies between initiatives
  • Provide status updates, escalation to manager as appropriate

 Communication
  • Concisely communicate ideas, options and recommendations in an appropriate format for the audience - i.e. Use written, numerical, charting, verbal and diagrammatic techniques
  • Facilitate and maintain the focus of a diverse group of stakeholders - Use different techniques/approaches in order to build consensus, enable agreement and/or course of action that is mutually agreeable to all stakeholders
  • Manage people and situations, including finding causes of and approaches to address problems and diffuse conflict before it starts
  • Present difficult or complex ideas clearly and effectively
  • Interface with Front Office, Risk Managers, Middle Office and Back Office in all aspects of business requirements gathering and development

Analysis
  • Break down information into constituent parts using different techniques/tools in order to distinguish user requests from underlying needs, identify similarities and patterns
  • Assess information and analyses to identify conflicts, gaps between requirements/needs and scope, objectives and/or organizational strategies
  • Analyze and document workflows, requirements, test cases, and other material to ensure clear communication of complex business concepts and scenarios.
  • Identify changes in scope of work, related to requirements and ensure appropriate controls are applied.
  • Propose options/ alternatives to align requirements with scope/ objectives/strategies/ needs using the appropriate level of detail for the audience/ issue
  • Ensure stakeholders have sufficient understanding of the analyses and implications to enable informed decision making

 Project Management and Support the Team
  • Contribute to delivery strategy, road map through the implementation
  • Contribute to the resolution of issues
  • Assist/contribute to other project roles
  • Participate in knowledge transfers to improve the team’s effectiveness


Requirements or Qualifications
Qualified Candidates will have:
  • Expert knowledge of business analysis principles
  • Advanced knowledge of tools (e.g., MS Office, Visio, MS Projects) within own area
  • Project experience in derivatives especially in implementing CCP (Central Counterparty) Solutions.
  • Experience of the financial industry, in the following products: OTC Derivatives (Interest Rates, Credit, Equity, Commodity, and FX)
  • Knowledge of back office processing flows
  • Experience with use cases (UML) and/or dataflow diagrams, understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), project lifecycle, code documentation, databases, etc
  • Expected to work with minimal oversight and supervision
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg, Calypso Derivatives, and other derivative platforms
  • Knowledge of Swap Execution Facilities (SEF) & Swap Data Repositories (SDR) is consider and asset
  • Awareness of regulatory landscape of Dodd-Frank & G20 Commitments.
  • QA and Testing experience

  • Experience Common Assessment projects in the Health Care sector is an strongly preferred
  • End to end experience with Business Analysis (business and technical requirement, process modeling, testing)
  • Stakeholder engagement and facilitation of working groups
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Experience working with vendors is an asset
  • Experience and understanding in "best practices" for readiness assessments.
  • Understanding of business modeling techniques/tools.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Business process re-engineering.
  • Business case development and cost/benefit analysis.
  • Feasibility studies.
  • Joint Application Development (JAD) facilitation.
  • Experience in structured methodologies for the identification of user requirements and the development of specifications.
  • Experience in the use of tools to document conceptual requirements and scope.
