About the Job

Our client has a requirement for a SCOM Architect for a 12 Month Contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

 

Role

• Senior SCOM resource required for Microsoft SCOM 2012 Authoring, Reporting, and Administration Experience, including Management Pack authoring.
• Individual should be a very efficient & very advanced SCOM developer/architect who can write/build custom monitoring to spec.
• Advanced developer; a subject matter expert in design and development of SCOM management packs for infrastructure, application and process monitoring.

 

Requirements

• Develop, enhance and tune SCOM Management Packs using Microsoft Authoring Tools, .NET, Powershell, XML and scripting for performance monitoring of applications and environments.
• Research and recommend system design criteria, in coordination with team strategy • Coordinate with other areas of technology department and ensures system alignment with overall corporate technology strategy.
• Create and maintain system documentation, such as Custom Management Pack Guide, Architecture Guide, Visio Process Documentation and others, ensuring that information is current and reflects system updates and changes.
• Financial experience would be an asset, but is not required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; business facing experience and experience working with end-users
