About the Job
Our client has a requirement for Senior Project Manager for a 12 months contract opportunity. The positions are located in Toronto.

Role
Looking for a hands-on technical Project Manager to complete an end to end equity options system implementation. This individual must have strong equity and equity options trade processing lifecycle knowledge. The Project Manager should be able to understand in detail the current and future state technical solutions of the team and be able to break down this solution into measurable working plans.

Education/ Experience
  • Bachelor degree in an IT-related discipline • PMP certification preferred, but not required

Required Skills
  • 5-7 years of technical Project Management experience • Prior experience managing an equity options system implementation; the specific system is FIDESSA. Must have experience working with FIDESSA or similar order management systems.
  • Ability to bring current and future state technical solutions into a measurable working plan and execute with the team
  • Ability to track and manage cross dependencies between functional delivery silos
  • Previous financial experience; specifically within equity and equity options trade processing lifecycle. Understanding of complete trade order process including; order management, pre and post trade processing, middle office P&L, settlement, clearing, compliance and reporting.
  • Extensive experience working with stakeholders and executive level leadership
  • Strong vendor management
  • Strong experience in conflict management
  • Have the ability to operate within the senior ranks but also not afraid to get their hands dirty and be hands-on with the project
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals.
  • Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics.
  • Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency with all MS Office applications, MS Project and/or Visio.
  • Highly organized with good time management skills.
  • Customer service orientation, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical thinker with creative problem solving skills and attention to detail.
