About the Job

Our client has a requirement for Senior Data Network Analyst for a 12 months contract opportunity. The positions are located in Scarborough.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical guidance and leadership in developing new network designs
• Ensures compliance to existing client network standards for new network implementations
• Provides second and third level support for enterprise networks
• Participates in technical forums to determine and/or provide requirements for new and existing network configurations
• Participates or leads in testing, evaluation and benchmarking upgrades to new and existing Network Operations supported products
• Participates in Disaster Recovery planning and contingency tests as required
• Ensures compliance to existing client networking standards
• Participates or leads in project meetings with network components
• Ensures problem, change and process resolution

 

Required Skills

• 5-10 years of hands-on Networking experience • Extensive hands-on Cisco experience, i.e. configuring and implementing devices, 6500, 3650’s (Cisco switches), etc.
• Cisco certification(s), i.e. CCNA, CCNP, etc.
• Extensive Cisco GSS / Alteon load balancer and CSM (Content Switching Module) skills, i.e. understanding and implementing device configurations • Nortel skills, hands-on experience, i.e. 8600, 5520’s (Nortel switches.
• Practical implementation experience (fingers to keyboard) on network devices -Flexible with time management
• Participation in project meetings -Ability to work evenings and weekends -Cisco Certification required -Scripting skills utilizing ITNCM platform -Good interpersonal communication skills
