Our client has a requirement for an Senior Project Manager for an 6 Month Contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto, ON.

Role

Our client is looking for a midlevel Project Manager with IT PM experience in a large organizations and infrastructure projects (server upgrades and operating system upgrades).

 

Responsibilities

• Requires IT Management experience in Financial Services sector
• Utilizes Wealth Delivery models and process, as well ensuring alignment to TDBG technology methodologies and governance processes
• Executes technology deliverables within budget and as per the approved project plan
• Manages communication to key technology stakeholders. Aligns technology communications to those of the Project Manager to the Project Sponsor, Business Project Owner and ensures they are all aware of significant changes to the project status in a timely manner
• Identifies all technology dependencies and risks, ensuring they are effectively managed and ensures mitigation and contingency plans are in place for identified risks
• Controls change to development and infrastructure scope through accepted change management processes and documentation
• Ability to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders and is able to effectively resolve conflicts
• Investigates, escalates and ensures that all project issues are effectively resolved
• Prioritizes and manages own workload and the workload of project team members in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines

Requirements or Qualifications

• Technology Project Manager experience; in particular with Java projects
• IT development project experience in large systems development (min 5 yrs experience)
• Development methodologies & experience
• Understanding, experience and knowledge of Enterprise delivery processes
• Have demonstrated ability to grasp and translate technical concepts
• Have managed technical projects between $1MM to $10MM
• Financial/Banking industry experience
• Strong knowledge of project and program management, and the associated methodologies, techniques, and processes
• Delivery: success driven, problem solver, strong leader, confident
• Technical acumen: deep understanding of technology and has experience with managing technology projects
• Communication: assertive yet sensitive, strong facilitator and negotiator, capable of communicating with both the executives and developers and analysts
