Our client has a requirement for a Java Developer for 6 months contract. The position is located in Mississauga, ON.

Role 

A Senior Java Application Developer to work on upcoming Document Management Service (DMS), Directory Services, Enterprise Web Services and OCP projects reporting to an IT Manager. This position will provide analysis, design, and development for projects, enhancements, and production support issues based on business requirements, provided by our business partners.

Requirements

• Technology Degree/Diploma or equivalent work experience
• Ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment, be self-motivated and a team player
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong technical documentation skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively communicate technical issues to non-technical individuals
• Experience with SDLC/PMLC methodologiesRequirements

 

Must Have

• Extensive experience in distributed systems development using JavaEE
• Strong knowledge of object oriented analysis and design, implementation, maintenance and SOA
• Advanced skills in technologies such as JavaEE, UNIX/AIX, Web Services, RAD, CVS, MKS, Perl Scripting or other scripting languages,
• Proven track record developing and delivering solutions for small to medium size projects.
• Good understanding of development methodologies
• Proven track record with code deployments

 

Nice To Have

• Familiar with web banking operations
• ECM (Content Management on Demand or Filenet) knowledge
• Experience with WebSphere Application Server v6.1/v7, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Enterprise Service Bus (IBM Data Power)
• Financial/banking industry
