Our client has a requirement for a Senior Q/A for a 3 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

Role
- Plan, design, and deploy effective test suites and regimes for in-house product development, software application development, information system launches, and operations systems enhancements. This individual will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate, verify, communicate, and resolve systems/software application issues through careful testing in order to maximize the benefit of IT investments and initiatives Coordinate a major quality assurance program at a management level. Facilitate the implementation of new tools and techniques. Manage formal quality assurance role in audits and milestone reviews. Provide advice on and develop new or replacement policies. Recommend, facilitate and promote the adoption of information systems practices, etc. Take appropriate action to ensure integrity/safety/public acceptance of information systems.
- Responsible for various aspects of software application testing, ensuring application is stable and defect free.
- Lead the design, development, execution and analysis of test strategies and plans for the program
- Lead integration and system testing activities.
- Prepare all documentation for test strategy, test plans, test estimates, test cases, test scripts.
- Manage the working relationship between the QA team, the development team, the QA environment team and the business partners.
- Delivery of all planning, execution and reporting for program testing activities.
- Ensure all sign offs on deliverables (overall test strategy, test plan, test cases, etc.) and that testing meets governance requirements.
Requirements
- strong technical background who can run SQL queries and use Access for data testing comparison
- good AS400 knowledge and able to use for queries
- QC experience
