About the Job

Our client has a requirement for a Project Manager for a 4 Month Contract opportunity. The position is located in Mississauga.

 

Role

Client requires 2 Technology PM's with a web application development background (JAVA/J2EE). These individuals will be working on a number of medium - large ongoing projects.

 

Required Skills

• 5 + years PM experience
• Web Application Development Background (JAVA/J2EE)
• Leadership Experience
• Proven experience working on complex projects with both onshore/offshore vendors & teams
• Strong communication & organizational skills

 

Nice to Have

• Prior TD experience
• Web Content Management - WCM
• PMP

 

Responsibilities

• Manage day to day project activities of medium complexity or units/phases of a larger complex project.
• Plan, execute, control and close out project against defined scope and budget.
• Utilize accepted standards and procedures.
• Maintain team relationships and team coaching and development.
• Manage stakeholder expectations.
• Manage risk and ensure compliance.
• Responsible for the oversight and execution of several medium complexity projects.

Key Accountabilities

• Work autonomously in the management of the unit and collaborates with other business heads to establish and execute on common goals.
• Manage activities of medium complexity projects. Ensures delivery of projects to the business partner, meeting the approved scope/cost/schedule/quality for the project.
• Perform a governing role for, ensuring that the proposal, execution, control, deployment, training and hand off, warranty support, and closure to meet schedules.
• Strong involvement in business IMO.
• Management of small to large projects (ranging in size from $400K to $3M), including multiple internal applications and external vendors.
• Estimation and planning, risk assessment, contingency planning, tracking and management of progress, issues, budget, risk and resources.
• Accountability for project budget and time lines.
