Role and Responsibilities

• This role is on the Customer Experience team in Store Operations Delivery and reports to the Cornerstone Project Manager. Throughout the POS server conversion process this role will be providing support after regular business hours and over a week that spans Sunday to Thursday evenings/nights.
• This role will be responsible for tracking conversion activities and ensuring scheduled stores are progressing appropriately
• This role will also be responsible for logging all issues that are encountered and following proper escalation paths (if required) and providing a communication updates at the end of the shift. Some training shifts at the beginning of the engagement will take place during regular business hours.
• Provide full bilingual technical and operational support over the phone to our Associate Store staff throughout all activities and tasks required during the server replacement conversion process.

After Training is Completed

• Provide onsite after-hours support at client Home Office following a modified week of Sunday through Thursday nights with variable shift hours.
• Actively participate in the execution of pilot store locations that may occur after normal business hours.
• Use problem determination techniques to isolate and identify any issues and use proven solutions to resolve issues that may arise.
• Track all issues that arise from the conversions and provide a written detailed summary communication of all conversions scheduled and completed.
• Create problem resolution documentation to help identify and resolve frequent problems.
• Proactively seek out opportunities to enhance the conversion process and documentation.
• Work closely with other team members to foster information sharing and problem resolution solutions.
• Track and escalate any issues to the Implementation Team Lead and Project Manager as required.

 

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum two year experience working with and supporting retail store technologies such as Server equipment, POS or experience working in a Help Desk environment.

Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a Development Lead- Banking on a permanent basis. The position is located in Toronto.

Role and Responsibilities Responsible for managing and leading the development of large initiatives Plan, direct and coordinate daily activities of a team of developers for assigned projects Understand the necessity of, and contribute to, development standards and processes Act as a resource for software developers on policies, procedures and technical issues Assist project management with adhering to project deadlines and schedules Monitor and report on the progress of development activities Be an active participant of the architecture review committee Requirements or Qualifications At least 5 years hands-on experience in a technical lead role Demonstrated ability to rapidly develop expertise in new/different technologies, through hands-on, real-time, on the fly exposure and involvement General experience with J2EE implementation technologies – apache/tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic Proficient in designing/implementing/supporting multi-tiered technology environments, including those with complicated multi data center high availability and disaster recovery solutions Proficiency with SQL, shell and pearl scripting Familiarity with load balancing, clustering and virtualization technologies Understanding of general enterprise infrastructure, including network and storage, and able to communicate with technical experts in these fields Solid grasp of ITIL (certification required), SDLC and PMLC concepts Experience 8+ years IT Industry experience in application development 3 years of credit card or collections experience Ability to multi-task Previous experience in the financial Services/wealth management industry. Detailed knowledge of wealth management front, mid office, brokerage operations, retail brokerage sales and support is preferred Ability to manage a geographically distributed development team Application Deployment 5 years Application Development 5 years Banking 4 years Java 4 years J2EE 4 years Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills   Strong organization and leadership skills with the ability to facilitate technical session Can communicate in both technical and business terms Ability to multi-task
