Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a Senior Programmer Analyst – Support for 12 months Contract. The position is located in Fort McMurray, Alberta

Work Description

• Management and implementation of vendor purchased applications, including installation, testing, integration and implementation
• Defines application problem by conferring with clients; evaluating procedures and processes.
• Develops solution by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions.
• Work as a resource on projects to support application development and project implementation with the project group
• Provides various documentations for software activities including user’s manual, test scripts, etc.
• Provide ongoing support to all IT applications including bug fixes, testing and implementation in production as require
• Grant and implement access requests to business users following defined business rules for approval
• Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing application as needed.
• Resolve problems with users remotely using various remote tools and document resolutions as required

Primary Skill Set

• Minimum of college/degree with 5 year experience in IT roles
• Experience with Oracle 9i/10g/11g and MS SQL 2005 and above
• Experience with backend databases programming in SQL, T*SQL and PL\SQL
• Experience with web application design and development in DotNet, ASP, HTML, etc.
• Good understanding of software development life cycle with strong documentation skills
• Strong trouble shooting skills and comfortable working on windows 7 and windows 2008 server environment.
• Strong communication and ability to multi-task

Secondary Skill Set

• Knowledge of C/C++, Pro*C and power builder would be an asset
