 About The Job
Our client has a requirement for Project Manager for a 3 months contract opportunity. The positions is located in London.

 Role
  • Manage day to day project activities of medium complexity or units/phases of a larger complex project.
  • Plan, execute, control and close out project against defined scope and budget. Utilize accepted standards and procedures. Maintain team relationships and team coaching and development. Manage stakeholder expectations. Manage risk and ensure compliance.
  • Responsible for the oversight and execution of several medium complexity projects.
The Project Manager will need to have a breadth of knowledge of Database and Middleware technology and Network and SAN technology
 
Responsibilities
  • Monitor RM queue for new requests, and review them for completeness and accuracy.
  • Interface with the PDLs/Requestor to obtain missing information from the RM and/or associated documentation.
  • Create\Submit RM requests (Child Records) with sufficient content, obtained through the review of the original request/project documentation, in order that the Build engineers and QA team can complete their tasks without the need for additional follow up and information gathering.
  • Monitor Build Coordinator reports to ensure that requests are completed and closed in a timely manner.
  • Provide direction to PDLs as to proper process for submitting records to the Build team and act as central Point of Contact for all parent records assigned to your individual work queue.
  • Coordinate tasks for multiple technology Build teams, based on priorities, dates and resource availability.
  • Follow up and provide updates to mgmt. on escalated requests and specific tasks.
  • Escalate requests to build teams and/or appropriate level of mgmt. when \as required.
  • Coordinate handoff between the Build and QA teams upon completion of build tasks.
  • Attend status meetings, provide input\feedback to Build teams and mgmt. regarding build status’, process improvements and upcoming demand.
 
Requirements 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • General understanding of server and infrastructure build process and the order of tasks necessary for any given request.
  • General understanding of Windows/Linux/Unix-AIX operating systems and associated technology.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications as documented within the ISS and PID docs, and create the necessary sub-requests to the Build and QA teams based on this information.
  • General understanding of Network and SAN technology.
  • General understanding of Database and Middleware technology.
  • Good negotiating and incident mgmt. skills would be an asset.
