Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a Project Manager-PeopleSoft for a 1 year contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

Role

The primary responsibility of this position will be providing primary support for the HR Transformation program initiative. There are several work streams involved with this program adding several new components to the existing HCM offering such as Self Serve, Compensation, Executive Comp, Org Design, Global Mobility, Absence Mgmt, Position Mgmt, on boarding several new businesses onto the HCM platform, reviewing the current platform to create a consistent offering across the entire BG, research and define a new state of the art HR call center solution and redefine a new and improved HR portal solution for all employees of DBG.

• Be accountable for the Project Management processes and deliverables for assigned projects
• Manage multiple complex projects.
• Manage multiple project resources from cross-functional TS teams, as well as interfacing with other project managers, technology specialists, vendors and consultants
• Have solid understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure deliverables are met
• Have good understanding of the Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC)
• Be able to deliver with Excellence
• Execute project management deliverables within budget and as per the approved project plan
• Manage all communication to key stakeholders and ensures they are aware of significant changes to the project status in a timely manner
• Contribute to the success of the team by encouraging open communication and teamwork
• Identify all project dependencies and risks, ensuring they are effectively managed
• Control change to project scope through accepted change management processes and documentation
• Investigate, escalate and ensure that all project issues are effectively resolved
• Have proven talent for multi-tasking a variety of projects
• Prioritize and manage own workload and the workload of project team members in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines

 

 Requirements

• Strong PM experience with software development project experience
• 5 to 7 years experience in managing or working on large application development technology projects across multiple applications
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment, multi-task and work with minimal supervision
• Proficiency with MS Office (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio)
• PMLC / SDLC

 

 Nice To Have

• PeopleSoft HCM platform experience preferred.
• PMP
• Good knowledge of HR applications is a definite asset
• Experience with BG System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) with ability to put strong governance in place to support and manage a successful delivery
