About the Job

Our client has a requirement for a Finance Report Support Analyst for a 6 Month Contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto, ON.

Role

Our client is looking for an individual who has experience with and providing production support for the Flash Sheet reporting system and has worked in a business facing role. This individual should be an excellent communicator and be able to manage relationships with individuals at all levels. Candidates with strong executive/financial reporting experience will be considered.

 

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements for changes to Flash Sheet (executive report) and offer technical solutions geared to improve efficiency of overall reporting
• Liaise with Performance Management and Finance (from analyst to executive level)
• Make changes to data mappings, KPI formulae, and report layout based on requirements
• Set up test sheets to validate all changes (Excel pulls from Essbase vs. results from Crystal reports)
• Production support for Flash Sheet (may involve evening and weekend work)
• Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Quality Assurance (QA) for all reports to ensure 100% data accuracy

 

Requirements or Qualifications

• Experience with Flash Sheet reporting system; Flash sheet is synonymous for executive/financial dashboard type reporting
• Previous experience providing production support for Flash Sheet reporting
• Previous experience over-seeing User Acceptance Testing and Quality Assurance; experience with coordination and execution of the testing to ensure data accuracy
• Microsoft Suite: Excel (expert), Word, PowerPoint, Access
• Essbase or other OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) experience; specific Essbase experience is preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong ability to build effective relationships with individuals at all levels; including high level executives
• Strong ability to manage tough relationships
• Proven decision-making and problem solving skills
• Ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively during high stress periods
• CMA and/or relevant 5+ years of work experience in Finance department of a financial services company
