Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for a Systems Support Analyst for 12 months. The position is located in Toronto, Ontario

Role:

We are looking for a contractor who is interested in a long term contract who will likely be converted to permanent position. Candidate must be available to work 9:00 pm to 12:00 am and on weekend for implementation purposes. Day hours will be flexible.(contractor will be working full 40 hour weeks) Main responsibilities will be maintenance changes, trouble shooting follow process instructions.

 

Requirements and Qualification:

• Strong hands on Windows Server 2008, 2012 system admin -AIX experience preferred.
• Willing to work overtime for Production changes (9PM to mid-night).
• Excellent communications skills

 

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required.
• 2 to 4 years experience required
• Skills and Competencies: Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
• Basic knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.
• Basic ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.
• Basic knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software.
• Knowledge of computer development software across multiple platforms

 

Resource Responsibilities:

• Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
• Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
• Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project. Perform other duties as assigned
