Job Description:
Our client has a requirement for an A/V Support Technician for a 12 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

Role:
 
  • Located at Client facilities
  • Support technician will be dedicated to Audio/Visual support
  • Provide Audio/Visual support for both hardware (including maintenance) and software/firmware components
 
 
Responsibilities
  • Support AV software, firmware, and hardware in common areas, conference rooms, and reception
  • Communicate system performance issues and trends
  • Conduct preventative maintenance visits to tune AV systems, identify any issues, and keep services running at optimal level
  • Perform emergency maintenance to resolve any issues with the technology, minimizing downtime
  • Manage issues and request within Client's IT’s issue management system
 
Support Requirements
  • Technician based onsite for TBD days per week
  • 8 hour day, no overtime expected
 
Additional Provisions
  • Client will not be responsible for costs associated with commuting to the worksite
  • Client will be responsible for the cost to replace equipment not covered under warranty (including shipping and handling)
 
Requirement or Qualifications:
  • Strictly adheres to and propagates Client’s credo of “Nobody Gets Hurt”
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Technician conducts his/herself in a professional manner
  • Proficient in communicating AV issues that are being experienced
  • Minimum/recommended 5 years of experience supporting AV equipment such as projectors, touch screens (Crestron), Fusion RoomView, ClickShare, room controllers (Crestron), end point devices, video conferencing (Polycom/Cisco), audio conferencing (ClearOne), and smart boards preferably in a business environment
