About the Job
Our client has a requirement for a IT Analyst for a 12 month Contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto, ON.
 
Role:
Reporting to the Team Lead, Users services, the Technician is responsible for advanced PC and telephony user support outside the scope of a regular technician position.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • A+ Certification
  • CISCO
  • Past experience in a technical IT related role
  • Demonstrated strong working knowledge of the Windows XP/7 environment
  • knowledgeable of HEAT/SDM Software
  • Ability to work in varied locations as required.
  • Ability to work varied hours including evenings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with PC’s (Dell or Lenovo) and software programs (WIN XP, Office, XP).
  • Experience working in a Telephone environment (multi-line telephone system)
Nice to Haves:
  • Experience with VOIP
  • College Diploma/Undergraduate University degree
  • Banking/Financial is a plus.

Responsbilities:
  • Provides the first level of support for the proper use of equipment (PC’s, phones, software, etc) while respecting the service level agreement.
  • Performs diagnosis of problems or outage for the 2nd level support personnel.
  • Documents each call ticket in HEAT.
  • Completes the physical installations of hardware (PC’s, phones, printers, etc), including large-scale moves.
  • Proceeds with the installation of software and hardware upon the Service Desk’s direction and approval
  • Proceeds with the installation of presentation equipment.
  • Communicates any discrepancies with the documentation to the Service Desk.
  • Participates in the deployment of specific projects related to the IT or Telephony environment.
  • Asset Management
  • Setup, configure and troubleshoot video conference equipment
  • Diagnose complex issues on Xerox products
  • Configure and trouble shoot Citrix tokens via Vasco
  • Monitor external vendor issues (Bell, Telus, MicroAge)
