About the Job

Our client has a requirement for an Intermediate Developer for a 1 Year Contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto, ON.

Role

We are looking for an Intermediate Developer with excellent MS Access and SQL Server development skills & knowledge. Experience with LiveLink development would be an asset for this position.

 

Responsibilities

• The individual will be working on a 2-tier client server application.
• The client is MS Access so this individual should be knowledgeable with MS Access, specifically pass through queries. The database is SQL Server 2008.
• This person should know how to construct queries, views, etc. in SQL.
• The application is dealing with special accounts management. Financial experience is not a requirement, but it would be an asset.
• This role is very client facing and the individual will need excellent communication and documentation skills.
• They will be extracting requirements from the client.

Qualifications

Must Have

• 3-5+ years of Microsoft Access development
• Experience with MS Access forms and pass-through queries
• 3-5+ years of SQL Server development (specifically 2008 or newer)
• Experience how to construct queries and views in SQL
• For this request, the importance of MS Access and SQL Server development skills are weighted equally
• Soft Skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong documentation skills
• Ability to gather/extract requirements from client/business users

 

Nice to Have

• LiveLink development experience would be an asset and a differentiator between candidates, but is not required
• Financial experience would be an asset, but is not required
