Job Description

Our client has a requirement for an IT Software Engineer for 6 months contract. The position is located in California-San Diego.

Role 

This work will be focused on Cellular Modem software integration and debugging.
The Engine SW team in Nokia Lumia Engineering provides local support for Lumia Smartphone programs.

 

Responsibilities

• Determining the right SW configuration
• Bringing up the embedded software on product HW
• Problem solving and debugging
• Participating in software development work in close cooperation with dedicated SW Technology teams.
• Work with an experienced, fully fledged R&D team which is working closely with Microsoft and our chipset suppliers.
• Work directly with engineers and be involved in product development and take pride in their contribution to our Lumia devices.

 

Requirements

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
• 5 years of work experience and proven expertise in SW development.
• Quality orientation
• SW programming skills in C or C++
• Good SW architecture understanding of mobile devices
• Very good problem solving skills
• Highly experienced in SW debugging & tracing
• Target oriented working attitude and ability to meet strict deadlines
• Ability to manage multiple tasks
• Systematic way of working
• Good Interpersonal Skills and networking skills.
• Cellular Modem skills: - Good expertise in Cellular Modem (LTE, WCDMA, GSM, CDMA)
