Our client has a requirement for a Senior Java Developer for 6 months contract. The position is located in Toronto, ON.

Summary

Our client is looking for a Senior Specialized Java Developer to work on a Counterparty Credit Risk replacement product within Capital Markets. This person will be responsible for development, design and mentoring other team members as necessary. This individual will be working with the business users and will need excellent communication skills.

 

Requirement

• Core Java development (Java 1.6) – threading, concurrency, memory management, solid understanding of how JVM (Java Virtual Machine) works
• Solid experience with Spring (includes Spring/Integration and Spring/Batch)
• Test Driven Development follower and Clean Code practitioner
• Strong database background (with any database, no specific database is required; could be SQL, Oracle, Netezza)
• Knowledge of GemFire, Coherence or other distributed cache is also desirable
• Knowledge of JMS/MQ is also desirable.
• Experience with Maven, SVN/GIT, continuous integration, team collaboration tools is desirable
• Experience with .Net is a plus
• Exposure to Capital Markets business in general and OTC derivatives in particular is a nice to have.
• Excellent communication skills; this individual will be working with the business users
