Our client has a requirement for Sr. Project Manager for an 8 months contract opportunity. The positions are located in Toronto.

Role

• We are looking for a Senior Technology PM with solid communications skills and can talk at the Executive Level.
• The Senior Technology Delivery Manager is accountable for the end-to-end technology delivery for their programs. End-to-end accountability includes managing the interactions, completion and quality of deliverables across all Wealth technology teams (Architecture, Development Services and Service Management) as well as technology partners external to Wealth (Architecture, Development Services and Service Management) as well as technology partners external to WMTS. The Senior Delivery Manager works very closely and in coordination with the Project Delivery Manager to ensure the successful delivery of all project work streams. Accountabilities will also include providing Executive level communications including project updates and reporting for technology financials, project resources and any required decisions impacting delivery.

 

Responsibilities

• Requires Senior IT Manager expertise with deep expertise in trading and/or Capital Markets
• Accountable for the technology delivery management process and technology deliverables for assigned projects, Tiers 1 (+$50MM) & Tier 2 ($10-50MM or high-risk $1-10MM)
• Utilize Wealth Delivery models and process, as well ensuring alignment to our technology methodologies and governance processes
• Strong facilitator, team builder and effective collaborator
• Executes technology deliverables within budget and as per the approved project plan
• Manages communication to key technology stakeholders. Aligns technology communications to those of the Project Manager to the Project Sponsor, Business Project Owner and ensures they are all aware of significant changes to the project status in a timely manner
• Identifies all technology dependencies and risks, ensuring they are effectively managed and ensures mitigation and contingency plans are in place for identified risks
• Controls change to development and infrastructure scope through accepted change management processes and documentation
• Ability to balance the needs of multiple stakeholders and is able to effectively resolve conflicts
• Investigates, escalates and ensures that all project issues are effectively resolved
• Prioritizes and manages own workload and the workload of project team members in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines

Requirements or Qualifications

Must Have

• IT technology PM with solid communication skills
• Similar development project experience with host and java project-related experience
• PMP
• Experience in putting together budget for the technology work stream.
• has worked for large projects
• Wealth experience
• Trading/Capital market experience
