About the Job

Our client has a requirement for ETL Developer for a 2 months contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

The Enteprise Data Architecture team is responsible for managing all data assets within our client, including building, maintenance of the Enterprise Data Warehouse, and Data acquisitions of external data from hospitals, CIHI, MOH etc.

 

Requirements or Qualifications

• An undergraduate Degree in Information Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, Health Sciences, Health Administration or Health Informatics or related field or recognized equivalent, is required.
• 7 years professional experience in IT environment
• 5 years professional experience with Oracle
• 5 years professional experience with Informatica in medium to large organizations
• Understand concept of Kimball EDW
• Experience with Erwin or other data modeling tools
• Knowledge and experience with Informatica B2B an asset
• Demonstrated track record of success in implementing large and complex projects and software upgrades, under time pressure.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively present information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization and conduct stakeholder/client interviews.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
• Strong knowledge of Healthcare standards is desirable.

 

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and provide estimates for new projects and maintenance efforts, including impacts and risks as well as interdependencies among applications.
• Apply extensive software engineering, change management and project management knowledge to project and operational areas.
• Design, develop and implement EDW solutions using the Erwin, Oracle, Informatica.
• Make recommendations for EDW development based on best practices, industry standards, and strategic and logical thinking reflective of resource, corporate strategies and corporate/departmental policies/procedures.
• Keep abreast of new technology trends and standards.
