Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for a Senior Project Mager for a 6 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

Role:

The Technology Risk Management & Information Security group (TRM&IS) is executing a program to improve the access management and security of non-human IDs used across all lines of business (LOB) within the Client. A project is being undertaken to deliver a central repository of non-human IDs, populate it, and roll-out the functionality and accompanying processes to the LOBs. The project manager will lead this project and perform the following activities:

• Assist with the development of detailed solution requirements based on the high-level business requirements
• Lead development and/or review of estimates and estimating assumptions for the project's schedule, effort, and cost using established estimating models, best practices, and benchmarks.
• Accountable for the project management of assigned projects in accordance with the project plan, balancing project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and that it meets or exceeds expectations
• Manage all communication to key stakeholders, including the Program Manager and Project Sponsors and auditors to ensure they are aware of significant project changes, risks, and issues
• Negotiate and issue project documentation as agreed to by the Project Sponsor and involved stakeholders
• Comply with the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodology (PMLC) - including development of project documentation of system requirements, management of application releases per governance and gating criteria, forecasts for all deliverable, estimates of scope and cost, etc.
• Measure and monitor progress at clearly defined points in the process to ensure the projects are delivered on time, within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations

 

Requirement or Qualifications:

• Relevant 5+ years’ work within IT with an understanding across multiple IT disciplines, preferably in PMO
• Project management experience on multiple IT projects with an understanding across multiple IT disciplines
• The successful candidate will have a proven track record for success having demonstrated the ability to take independent action to achieve results
• Working knowledge of project management processes (PMLC/SDLC, relevant products / tools involved
• Acts with productivity, innovation, teamwork and a high level of professionalism
• Strong communicator with excellent oral and written skills
• Effective collaborator: can work team environment and be able to interact with all levels of personnel from various functional areas.
• High level of proficiency using MS Office PC software applications (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
• PMP designation is required
