Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for a Business Analyst - Expert for a 6 month contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

Role
Looking for an Expert BA with Counterparty risk and/or Credit risk/Market risk experience for a 6 month contract. This individual will be involved in gathering requirements, design, analysis and testing. Key deliverables that this person will be expected to turn out include: high level assessment, functional specifications, detailed specifications, test plan, process flow diagrams, and testing. This individual should have a good understanding of business and technology. They should be able to gather requirements from different groups and articulate them clearly to both the business and technology. Excellent communication skills are required as this person will be interacting with end users, stakeholders and developers.

Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst, with recent experience focused on risk related projects (Counterparty risk, credit risk, market risk; in that order of preference)
• Experience working on regulatory projects
• Extensive experience working with the business & technology groups to gather requirements
• Knowledgeable on business process modeling, process mapping.
• Capable of writing clear and well structured business requirements documents.
• Strong analysis and analytical skills, including statistical analysis
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; will be working with end users, stakeholders and developers
• Financial background; experience would be beneficial but is not required


Nice to Have Experience:• Counterparty risk experience
• Credit risk experience

Must Have Business Analysis Skills:
• Ability to quickly learn organizational structure, business strategies and processes.
• Contributes to the development of detailed level process maps to facilitate requirements gathering, gap analysis and for training use.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
• Strong written documentation skills
• Testing experience
• Identifying business needs and appropriate solutions
