Job Description:
Our Federal Government client has upcoming Operations Support Specialist (Level 1) positions in Ottawa, Ontario.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide client-side technical support (hardware and software).
  • Update and maintain hardware and software inventory and monitoring system performance and usage.
  • Prepare local guidelines, procedures, reports, and documents.
  • Ensure that security policies, standards and procedures are followed and understood.
  • Assess the impact of hardware and software changes on the computing environment.

 

Qualifications:

  • Eligible for a Government of Canada security clearance.
  • Must possess an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Essentials Certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in providing client-side technical support for hardware and software in a Windows operating systems environment in a Medium-Sized Organization (500+ employees).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in providing technical advice to both colleagues and clients.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in using incident management software (such as Remedy).
