Systems Analyst

Job Description

Our client is looking for a Systems Analyst to join their team. This is a 7 month contract to start, located in Toronto.

Skills and Responsibilities:

The systems analyst will be responsible for a variety of activities:

•Develops technical strategies for the application of new technologies and provides analysis on the system impacts related to the potential implementation of such activities.
•Participates in business process re-engineering to understand the impacts of technology on the broader system.
•Develops business cases as required for the analysis and evaluation of a variety of solution options within the context of the project.
•Performs a variety of data analysis tasks to understand system implications and impacts.

Qualifications

•Strong hands on technical experience with enterprise technologies such as:
•Datacenter and network (SAN, AD, DNS, LAN, WAN etc..)
•Email – MS exchange server 2007
•Document management
•Microsoft Server 2003 and 2008 including clustering
•Document and knowledge management
•CISCO VOIP
•Creation of Infrastructure Design Documents
•Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis of Infrastructure and Application Issues
•Expertise in Citrix Technology (XenApp and Netscaler)
•Proficient in Evaluating New/Recommended Technologies and/or Solutions
•Independently Manage Assignments
•Knowledge of EMC SAN and Replication Manager.
•Experience in technical specifications development and system analysis (as appropriate to the specified experience level).
•Understanding of business and system modeling techniques/tools.
•University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent working experience
•Experience in one or more of the following areas:
•Business process re-engineering.
•Development of technical specifications.
•Experience in structured methodologies for the identification of user requirements and the development of technical specifications.
•Awareness of emerging IT trends and technologies.
•Experience in a healthcare environment.
•Knowledge and experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies.
