Job Description:

Our client has a requirement for Senior Business Architect for a 6 month contract opportunity that starts May 23rd 2011. The position is located in Guelph.


The proponent will work closely with the Director of Architecture Services and other Enterprise
Architects, corporate strategic management, Business Development & Delivery Division staff
and IT managers to develop, document Business Architectures at the Enterprise and Divisional
levels at the client and roll-out Phase 1 & 2 of the Integrated Project Delivery Framework (IPDF).


Requirement or Qualifications:

Provide expert input, advice & guidance on process/object/data modeling using UML and BPMN including mentorship in the adoption of SPARX as a modelling tool;

Leverage Siebel knowledge and experience to create a method to map CPC business requirements to Siebel CRM business objects, business rules.

Lead and conduct formal architectural compliance reviews of project level Solution Architectures ensuring a) compliance with the Enterprise Business Architecture and organizational goals, objectives identified in the Balanced Score Card and b) compliance with reference architectures that govern integration of Siebel, legacy Mainframe, BizTalk & .NET components.


• Demonstrates experience (leadership and hands-on) in strategic Enterprise Architecture Planning, method tailoring, developing related artefacts and creation of architecturalgovernance processes based on Ontario Government’s Enterprise Architecture processes and practices;
• Demonstrates experience (leadership & hands-on) in defining Business and Solution Architectures for applications transitioning to Siebel CRM and eCustomer.
• Demonstrates experience (leadership & hands-on) in formal architectural compliance reviews of Solution Architectures that integrate Siebel, legacy Mainframe, BizTalk & .NET components.
• Demonstrates experience (leadership & hands-on) in developing a Siebel traceability framework (models, templates) that establishes traceability to business requirements on the one hand and Siebel design & configuration components on the other.
• Working knowledge of the Zachman & TOGAF Enterprise Architecture frameworks
• Demonstrates hands-on experience in the use of SPARX as a modelling tool and repository.
• Demonstrates hands-on experience in defining and implementing IT standards (BPMN, UML, Archimate, Zachman, OPS) including standards review and maintenance processes.
• Knowledge of Government Standards & I&IT trends would be a definite asset;
