Job Description:
 
Our client has a requirement for IT Analyst IV - Technical Support for a 12 month contract opportunity.  The positions are located inLondon or Mississauga.
 
Requirement or Qualifications:
 
7x Software Application Packagers (Windows 7) for a 12 month assignment.

Duration: 12 months (One Year)
Location: London or Mississauga

Additional Details:

• London and Mississauga are the only locations - no possibility of virtual
• Candidates must have effective communication skills
  
  

We are currently seeking 7 Contractors for Software Application packaging, for Windows 7. This individual will have experience in application packaging using Install Shield, APP_V, Novell Zen, SCCM, VMware, Winbatch and Visual Basic scripting. This is for Software packaging to be deployed on our client's banking environment. The individual will be part of the desktop team- which is responsible for supporting 3 of the Desktop Infrastructures at our client. Approx. 42,000 desktops are used in the client's Locations.

Overview of responsibilities; The Application Packager is responsible for building and customizing software application packages which are to be deployed seamlessly to the various desktops architectures with varying software distribution methodology.
The packager will use a variety of Tools to create, wrap, test and deploy the application packages.
This individual must follow established packaging process and procedures.

• Installation and deployment Services
• System Optimization and assessment
• Support and Maintenance
• Software Packaging, Distribution, Image Management
• Package Testing
• Hardware / Software Standards evaluations
• Script Support
• Solution development related to desktop
• Office Locations - London, Mississauga
• Packaging application support is 9 - 5 with possibility of on call
  

MUST HAVES (these must be corroborated in the actual resume)

• 5 yrs-Experience with Install Shield with virtualization
• 5 yrs- Admin Studio
• 5 yrs- Windows XP and Windows 7 (32 bit and 64 bit)
• Microsoft Visual Basic and Winbatch Scripting
• Testing
• Change Management
• Understanding of automation techniques, i.e. Scripts and scheduling, checks and balances
• Troubleshooting/ Problem Determination
• Strong documentation and analysis skills.
• Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
• Familiarity with Remedy (preferred)/ other Ticketing Tools (I am flexible)
• Familiarity with the CLIENT workstation- technical environment.
• Past experience delivering requirements within tight time constraints
  

NICE TO HAVES:

• Experience with Novel/Zenworks
• Experience with APP-V Sequencer
• SCCM/OSD (MS Distribution Tool)
• Understanding of change management
  

Packaging application support is 9 - 5 with possibility of on call
