Job Description
Senior QA Specialist - Test Lead

The role includes the following responsibilities:

Prime testing resource accountable for testing
Manage a small testing team
Manage expectation on all levels
Excellent communication skills, organization and interpersonal skills
Work closely with the Business and IT
Bridge the gap between Technical Infrastructure, Operations, and Information Technology, ensuring common understanding and IT/Business alignment
Manages the planning and execution of a project for system, integration, and user acceptance tests
Create test strategy document
Create test definition report
Make logical decisions quickly
Facilitate workshop with IT and business resources
Facilitate meetings not just participate
Mitigate issues in their planning as well as manage issues during execution
Develop associated materials to be used during the defined validation process including Risk Assessment, Test Scenarios, Test Cases/Scripts and Requirement Traceability matrix.
Coordinate all testing activities for the above
Expertise in vendor software and customization, master data repository, third party external data sources
Strong technical knowledge of system interfaces
Strong understanding of business processes and inter-correlation with COTS
Assist with the resolution of problem fixes and validate fixes provided by the development team


Skills:

University degree or equivalent (Computer Science or Engineering Degree)
5+ years of experience in Testing
Experience should be in a complex environment that has a rich combination of legacy and newly implemented infrastructure
Technology – SQL, UNIX, ESB, XML, FTP, MQ, HTTPS, etc.
Need to know Quality Center
Strong analysis, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
Superior communication skills -- written and oral
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-management skills
Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at the same time and under tight deadlines
Strong problem solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
Knowledge and interest in industry best practices
Extensive experience in planning, preparation, and execution of Testing
Has lead a team in a similar role and scope
General technical knowledge of infrastructure components – networking, servers and storage
