Programmer/Analyst

Job Description

The consulting resource will be performing the following deliverables:

•Work with a project manager in developing a strategy and approach to address the cheque printing requirements associated with the TPE;
•Work with a project manager in developing a strategy and approach to address the replatforming requirements related to the VAX system;
•Document programs and processes for each of the projects and identify impacted systems;
•Create technical Documentation, develop code, test, support and trouble shoot objects to facilitate the processing of cheques;
•Support integrated testing of newly developed code; and recommend best practices related to payment processing


MANDATORY SKILLS:

The Consultant must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the following skills, activities, or areas. The knowledge and experience must have been gained through work on a project(s) similar in size and scope to this project. The following skills are mandatory:


1.Mainframe MVS (4+ years);
2.OS/390 MVS (4+ years);
3.PL1 (4+ years);
4.COBOL OS VS (4+ years);
5.COBOL (5+ years); and
6.Standard SQL (3+ years);


RATED / DESIRABLE SKILLS:

Knowledge and experience in the following are highly desirable and are being sought in the

Consultant:

1.VMS/OPEN VMS (5 years);
2.IBM JCL (3+ years);
3.Strong communication skills;
4.Effective problem solver; and
5.Strong team player.
