Job Description:
 
Our client has a requirement for Quality Assurance Analyst for a perm opportunity.  The positions are located in London, Ontario. 
 
Requirement or Qualifications:
 
Qualified Candidates will have:
 
QA Analyst

• Intermediate - Senior level QA skills
• Previous Software Development experience is key - at least 5 years of QA experience
• Experience in the following technologies: Websphere/portal, J2EE, Java, Mainframe (backend for portal environment), Siebel (nice to have)
• Nice to have - experience in setting up test environments
• Nice to have - experience working with global contracting agencies
• Leadership - strong communication skills, ability to negotiate, influence effectively

Additional details:
Qualifications:- Practical testing experience including writing test cases, scripts/JCL and using automated testing tools
- Software Development experience, and knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle methodology, and tools is a must
- Practical performance testing experience
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance process and principles (QA affiliations an asset)
- Knowledge of Project Management principles and practices an asset
- Knowledge of relational and hierarchical databases (use of test databases, and tools)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system and/or mainframe environment
- Ability to use office productivity tools (Microsoft Office Products), and documentation tools
- Ability to lead efforts to develop test strategies, test plans, and approaches to test execution
- Ability to analyze and report on quality (defects), coverage (execution), and schedules (plans)
- Demonstrated analysis/problem solving, communication, leadership, teamwork, and initiative skills
- Knowledge of any of the following would be an asset: Websphere Portal Server, DB2, IMS, Winrunner, JCL, TSO, BTS, CICS, COBOL, Visual Basic, SQL, MS Access, IBM Rational Test tools, Visio
 
The QA Analyst works closely with I.S./business leaders/representatives/other I.S. practitioners, 3rd party representatives and project teams to understand, define, manage, monitor and promote the QA testing effort and processes, capture and promote the quality requirements, and ensure appropriate QA processes are followed. Will be responsible for creation of test cases, test plans, functional integration testing, scripting, etc.
