About the Job
Our client has a requirement for EIM Informatiion Quality Analyst for a permanent opportunity. The position located in Toronto.
 
Role
This role is responsible for ensuring the business information integrity needs are understood, clearly articulated and fully documented. In addition, the role will assess the business information health and work closely with the Information Stewards, the EIM team as well as other IT and Business groups as required to address issues or ensure the required quality levels.
 
The key areas of focus for this role are:
  • Information Profiling and Quality Management – This role is responsible for the development and maintaining of the Information Profiling and Quality Analysis practices, disciplines and processes for the overall capability.
  • Business Information Quality Analysis – This role is responsible for understanding business information quality requirements, assessing and measuring and communicating existing quality levels, and ensuring quality issues are assessed through Stewardship for business impact and addressed through system and process changes.
  • Information Quality Metrics and Reporting – This role will work closely with the EIM team to ensure information quality is measured and communicated through systems, metadata repositories, reports, etc to maintain appropriate visibility.
  • Appropriate capability metrics and reporting will be maintained to ensure visibility and tracking of progress and value.
  • The role requires working with and safeguarding highly confidential and sensitive information.
 
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Support the development, communication and adoption of an Enterprise Information Management policy and principles.
  • Participate in Enterprise Information Stewardship Group.
  • Deliver information management and governance reporting and metrics for information quality
  • Contribute to information management and governance capability assessments
  • Support the Enterprise Information communication plan
  • Participate in completing audit and compliance requests are addressed in timely manner.
  • Support information management best practices and governance controls within the SDLC and PMO methodology
  • Work closely with business and IT teams
    to ensure effective implementation of Information Management strategies
  • Ensure solutions accurately incorporate business information quality requirements
  • Ensure appropriate information governance and stewardship involvement
  • Ensure information management related value and risks are appropriately communicated and tracked.
  • Represent the business interests in identifying, prioritizing and resolving information management related issues.
  • Establish and maintain an information quality management practice
  • Contribute to the Enterprise information management and governance community and facilitate the organization wide exchange of information management best practices
  • Support a centralized service for all business Information issues, and access / reporting requests
  • Provide information management consulting expertise to Business and IT Management
  • Contribute to effective and efficient information management and ownership awareness and training programs
  • Monitor industry information management developments and assist the business in understanding the trends, opportunities and risks.

Requirements or Qualifications
Must Have
  • Business Degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years Regulated financial services experience
  • 5+ years Information Management experience
  • Experience with information management and governance
  • Experience with business analysis
  • Experience with presenting to executives, business and IT as well as various size groups
  • Business and Information requirement analysis
  • Information quality management, metrics and controls
  • Data systems/tools and related software for information profiling and quality management, such as InfoSphere Information Analyzer, SAP DQM, etc
  • Knowledge of practices/Technology in areas such as Business Intelligence, data models, business glossary, master data domain management, and information stewardship.
  • Knowledge of metadata management repositories, such as InfoSphere Business Glossary and Metadata Manager
  • Providing information management education to business and IT.
