Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary project team with the objective of optimizing the production off-take from fields.
Job Description
- Motivate staff; be an effective mentor as knowledge transfer is an integral part job.
- Assist with generation of work-plans and budgets for the group.
- Assist in workshops on technologies issues as well as in the mechanics of technology transfer.
- Work in conjunction with the operations and facilities groups to optimize the overall field performance.
- Conduct economic studies and cost to benefit analysis.
- Be innovative and constantly looksing for ways to improve systems and procedures within the fields and facilities.
Requirements
Must Have
- Track record of success in managing production from both clastic and limestone reservoirs.
- Proven track record of improving recovery.
- Experience in the design and implementation of frac. and acid stimulation jobs for poor injectivity/ productivity formations.
- Is conversant in the latest software applications for well performance evaluation and pressure transient analysis.
- Design, installation and performance monitoring of PCP, ESPs and gas lifting. SCADA system experience preferable.
- Thorough understanding of safety and environmental practices
- International experience preferable.
- Project management expertise.
- Excellent communication skills.
Nice To Have
- Track record of managing risk and creating value.
- Fractured carbonate, heavy oil development or gas condensate field startup
- World class water flood experience
- Work within a real time decision making 3-D visualization center environment
Experience
- Extensive experience in well completion/recompletion operations, wellbore intervention techniques and optimization of production systems.
- 15 - 20 years or more of diverse operational experience in the petroleum industry with a broad knowledge of all aspects of production, reservoir and drilling engineering.
