Our client has a requirement for a Java Developer for 3 months contract. The position is located in Toronto, ON.

Summary
Client is seeking for a Java developer to improve its Telemedicine Service Manager, which is Client's telemedicine scheduling and coordination system, also referred to as NCompass, in order to ease telemedicine scheduling by implementing new features that enhance the current services as well as introducing new services to improve access to healthcare in Ontario.

Requirements
  • Program in Java using the Struts framework with Oracle Structure Query Language (SQL), (For further information on the Struts framework
  • Automated learning event programming – pushing events from the Client database to a media publishing/recording system using standard Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) web services
  • Create algorithms to manage recurring events
  • Creating an email notification system based on business rules within the application
  • Use the teleconferencing bridge and codian system application programming interfaces (API) to automatically manage multipoint calls from within the Telemedicine Service Manager and NCompass applications
  • Participate in the requirements process by providing feedback on the feasibility of requested requirements; and
  • Provide technical solutions to implement various requirements.
  • Test implementation to ensure proper operation
  • Correct any issues logged by the testing team
  • Check all code into Client's Subversion (SVN) repository, which is a tool used for version control.
  • Correct all issues and ensure that all code is checked into Subversion (SVN)
  • Provide any training and documentation required by Client to maintain the changes and new features in the NCompass and Telemedicine Service Manager.
  • The Proponent will be required, on an as-needed basis through the term of this contract, to respond to and discuss with Client staff; technical and non-technical issues related to this project.
