Location: Kuwait
Education: Bachelor degree in Geology/Petroleum Exploration. Additional higher qualification would be an added advantage.

Role
Main task will be to build 3D geological models for reservoir characterization, calculatoin of geological oil in-place reserves, and estimation of uncertainties. The model also provides inputs for reservoir simulation and used for drilling/ monitoring development wells.
Requirements
Must Have
- Should have thorough working knowledge of seismic interpretation, sequence stratigraphy, reservoir geochemistry, geostatistics, routine and special core analysis, and application of these tools in reservoir characterization. Hands-on experience in reservoir characterization (2D&3D) of clastic and carbonate reservoirs is essential.
- Should possess working knowledge of windows and UNIX operating systems, and should be a proficient user of Landmark, GeoQuest softwares.
- Intermediate knowledge of basic open hole log interpretation is essential. Also, should have experience working with image logs, nuclear magnetic resonance logs, and wireline formation testing tools. Knowledge of GEOLOG software is preferred.
- Must have built large geo-cellular models in complex reservoirs for simulation. Knowledge of the GOCAD and PETREL platform is essential.
- Must have experience in preparing development plans of clastic and carbonate reservoirs with natural aquifer drive as well as with water flooding.
- Team building, leadership skills, and excellent communication skills are desirable for this position.
- Must have knowledge in Gas Condensate Reservoir and fractured carbonates.
- Must have proven track record of positively impacting fields production.
- Specialized knowledge of Petroleum Geology focused on field development area along with . basic knowledge of exploration geology (basin, fairway, play and prospect analysis), geophysics, and petrophysics..
- Routine & specialized core analysis planning, procedures, interpretation and use
- Clastic and carbonate reservoir characterization work flows, processes and methodology
- Geological Mapping and 3D modeling skills with the use of standard industry softwares such as Z-Map, Petrel, RMS, GOCAD etc
- Basic Computing skills as well as familiarity with database and archival softwares such as Finder, OpenWorks, LogDB, SeisDB, AssetDB etc.
Experience
- 20 years of petroleum industry experience is required with through and updated knowledge of all aspects of reservoir geology. Must have worked internationally in different geological basins and reservoirs. Experience of Middle Eastern reservoirs would be an added advantage.
- International experience is needed with at least 10 years with one of the major IOC Companies.
- Must have experience in working with other earth scientists and engineers in a Project Team environment.
