Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a Senior Storage Architect for 6 months Contract. The position is located in Toronto, Ontario

Responsibilities

• Architecting/Engineering, Configuring & managing Storage environments based on EMC Symmetrix, EMC VMAX/DMX, Clariion/VNX, EMC Celera, Cisco SAN fabric MDS switches and NetApp filers.
• Knowledge on the data replication using Recover Point, SRDF, SNAPMIRROR and
• Implementing and managing ECC /Prosphere environment
• Configure and Manage CISCO fabric zoning as per project and customer requirement
• Oversees support services to IT customers for SAN/NAS related services. Adheres to service management processes and procedures to meet customer service level agreements and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Completes root cause analysis of outages or incident trends (often working with managed services partner). Approves preventative actions
• Using monitoring data analysis of Storage Services for availability and performance develops plans to implement recommendations to improve or change technology.
• Manages complex problems and outages which are escalated from other team members
• Configures IT technology and executes complex changes while following standard operating procedures and change/release management policies.
• Works with vendors and management to develop plans for the life cycle of the SAN & NAS infrastructure.
• Ensure that SAN & NAS service/product is meeting customer needs and initiates training, documentation and marketing to improve full value of the service/product is realized.
• Represent SAN & NAS Service for change management and enterprise architecture discussions.

 

Functional Knowledge

• Demonstrates depth and/or breadth of expertise in Architecting, Implementing & Managing Storage Area Networks solutions based on EMC ( DMX/VMAX, VNX ), NETAPP ( FAS Series ), Data Replication(Recover Point, Snapmirror ),CISCO & Brocade (SAN Switches ).
