About the Job
Our client has a requirement for a Senior Project Control Officer for a 10 Month Contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto, ON.

Role
This is a multi-year program. Two releases have been completed and 3-4 are pending. This role is part of the Program office which already has an APM & another PCO supporting the program. The need for the role is that there is just too much Program infrastructure tasks (Meeting minutes, resource onboarding/off-boarding, presentation creation for recurring meetings, document management and storage for audit prep, etc.) to be completed in the time remaining – so additional help is required.

Requirements or Qualifications
Must Have
  • 5+ years of experience; whether it is as a PCO, Associate PM or Junior PM
  • Previous bank experience is an asset. Specifically in the Finance department / area.
  • Previous experience working in a large Financial Project or program is an asset
  • Financial Industry experience is required.
  • Previous experience working with a diverse project staff [FTE, contract, vendor, & GR].
  • Previous projects working with SAP is an asset
  • Large multi-year program experience
  • Capability to communicate with various stakeholders (from technical team to business leadership)
  • Flexible work schedule (extra hours if required)
  • Excellent business communications skills; written, verbal
  • Able to deal well with ambiguity
  • Needs to be strong at core PCO work, which includes:
    • Creating & maintaining project/program schedules [Project Plans in Microsoft Project]; strong Microsoft Project skills are required
    • Producing, maintaining, and following up on baseline PM documentation [status reports, management briefing presentations]
    • Prepare meeting minutes, maintain the project plan, maintain the document repositories, track the issue and risk log
    • May actually be given work packages to lead or manage, or may just be program support
    • Able to independently manage small work packages
    • Savvy enough to talk with technical folks [status updates] and Senior Executives [ for day to day updates, communications, follow-ups]
