Our client is looking for a Software Developer to join their growing and dynamic team developing Network Processor based leading edge real-time applications for telecommunications and data network. The successful candidate will be involved in developing embedded assembly/C/C++ real-time software on network processors (Broadcom, Octeon, EZChip, IXP, or similar). As part of the team, the successful candidate will be empowered to provide technical leadership to both the customer and the software development team on software architecture, design, implementation and integration
Requirements
Must Have Skills
- Very strong experience in C/C++ development for embedded real-time applications
- Extensive experience with real-time application development on Linux environment
- Experience building and using the Broadcom SDK
- Domain knowledge of L2/L3 switching with various Broadcom components
- Hands-on expertise with the Trident series of Broadcom switches
Assets
- Hands-on expertise with Broadcom Content Aware Processors (VCAP, ICAP, ECAP)
- Usage of stacked VLANs with the Trident series parts
- Usage of HiGig/HiGig2 with Trident series parts
- Prefer experience with Broadcom Stacking Software Suite for Trident series parts
- Prefer experience with inter-connecting multiple Trident series parts
Personal Soft Skills
- Highly flexible and adaptable personality
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
- Organized individual, capable of working independently
- Able to interact with customers and discuss their requirements and needs
- Able to participate and contribute to a dynamic team
Education and Experience
- BSc or higher degree in CE/EE/CS or equivalent
- 5+ year experience of software development
