Education:  MastersDegree in Geosciences subject (Geology, Geophysics, Petrophysics or equivalent).

Role

Main task will be planning & implementing geophysics activities of the asset team such as interpretation of 2D and 3D seismic data, horizon and fault mapping, well prognosis and well monitoring besides use of special techniques such as seismic attribute and inversion studies for improved reservoir definition

• 2D/ 3D Seismic interpretation software such as SeisWorks , IESX or Charisma, Petrel- Geophysics, visualization softwares such as GeoProbe/ EarthVision as well as Seismic inversion softwares such as Jason's suite.
• Experience in use of geophysical techniques for aiding depositional and sequence stratigraphic interpretation in conjunction with use of well logs (e.g. DT, Rhob, VSP etc ), removal of seismic mis-ties and velocity modeling
• Proficiency in use of 3D visualization techniques for preparing well prognosis, and for monitoring of drilling including geo-steering
• Experience in use of 4D seismic and high resolution seismic for water flood performance monitoring and use of Shear Wave and Pre-Stack seismic data for field development applications
• Good understanding of seismic acquisition & processing step with a view to QC seismic data and expertise in the use of seismic for structural interpretation for example basin's structural evolution, fault seal analysis, DHI's etc.
• Conversant with UNIX and PC platforms including MS Office suite as well as familiarity with seismic database and archival softwares such as OpenWorks, SeisDB, PetroBank etc.

Experience

• Experience (General & Specialized): Minimum 10/ 15 /20 Years Geosciences work experience in E&P industry with not less than 5 / 8 / 10 years in the Specialized area (For experience, subtract 2 years for Masters and 3 years for Ph.D. if done in relevant discipline )
