Job Description
Our client has a requirement for a Senior Systems Analyst for a LONG TERM contract – 2 years within the Canadian Federal Government. The position is located in Ottawa.

Requirements or Qualifications
Must Have
- A minimum of 10 years of experience, within the last 15 years, in the development of system designs and specifications as a lead* Systems Analyst for Object Oriented Applications.
*A lead Systems Analyst is defined as a Systems Analyst responsible and accountable for the development of the system designs and specifications.
- A minimum of five years of experience, within the last 10 years, translating business requirements into system requirements using a unified process framework including the System Use Cases and Supplementary Specifications.
- A minimum of five years of experience, within the last 10 years, in leading and facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions.
- A minimum of five years of experience, within the last 10 years, in the development of system designs and specifications for high availability* and high volume** applications.
*High Availability is defined as a system which is expected to operate reliably for 24 hours per day, 365 days per years and an associated implementation that ensures a minimum of 99% operational continuity per year.
**High volume is defined as a system which supports more than 100 users across multiple locations and process a minimum of 200,000 transactions per day.

Nice To Have -- Point rated Requirements
- Experience within the last 10 years, in the development of designs and specifications for systems developed using DB2.
- Experience within the last 10 years, in the development of designs and specifications for two or more tier JAVA applications.
- Experience within the last 10 years, in preparing and presenting briefings and presentations to technical and managerial audiences.
