About the Job

Our client has a requirement for two Environment Managers (IT Specialists) for a 1 Year Contract opportunity. These position can be located in either London or Toronto, ON.

Role

Direct Channels Technology Solutions supports Online, Phone, and ATM channels across North America. They work closely with various business units to delivery technology solutions across these channels. There are over 400 professionals in their group and growing.

DCTS QA Environment team will provide support and co-ordinate management of two related areas within Direct Channels Technology solutions:

• pre-PAT development and test environments
• test data for all test environments including PAT

The DCTS QA Environment team is looking to add an IT Specialist contract position to support the ever growing demand from DCTS. The successful candidate will be a senior technical member of the DCTS QA Environment team.

 

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for Pre-PAT environments for various channels across Direct Channels Technology Solutions
• Provide monitoring, trouble shooting, triage issues and co-ordinate the resolution with consultants, project teams and ITS partners
• Co-ordinate code deployments, maintenance upgrades and project exception testing across numerous Pre-PAT environments on various platforms
• Assist with build tasks and maintenance for new/existing environments
• Work closely with PMs, Test Managers, IT specialists and Architects of project teams to support their initiatives
• Apply knowledge of automation test tools to support test data creation.
• Identify, develop and implement environment improvements and standards to enhance efficiency and improve availability of Pre-PAT environments for the department

 

Requirements or Qualifications

• PMLC and SDLC
• Strong technical skills - working knowledge of supported technology - J2EE, IHS Web Server, WebSphere Application Server, MQ, SSL, XML, SOA, Quality Centre, QTP
• PEGA
• Some knowledge of Database technologies (DB2, Oracle or MS SQL Server)
• Java certification
• Experience in Bank application frameworks
• Technical knowledge of the Bank’s legacy business web applications
• Familiarity with the Web and Application Servers, Workflow infrastructure and Bank's Host environment.
• College / University or equivalent work experience
• Highly developed critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple assignments with competing priorities.
• Experience in deploying applications in development environment
• Strong service orientation
