Job Description
Our client has a requirement for a Senior Project manager for a contract opportunity. The position is located in Ottawa.

Requirements or Qualifications
Must Have
- A minimum of four (4) projects which demonstrate experience interfacing with various business and technical resources to lead the development of and finalize IM/IT project charters and work breakdown structures.
- Provide two (2) Client Project references which demonstrate experience as a Project Manager, Level 3 (over 10 years as a PM) responsible for a single IM/IT project with an annual budget equal to or greater than $500k. These references must:
- Be from two different projects
- Be in the last five years
- One project must be for a Government of Canada (GoC) entity
- Be for IM/IT projects and require consultation with stakeholders external to the project sponsor organization
Nice to Have (Rated Requirements)
- Experience as a Project Manager providing management and leadership of an IM/IT Project where that role included:
- Acting as the Project integrator facilitating links and dependencies between a number of IM/IT projects to ensure the efficient delivery of all projects within a portfolio of projects
- Interacting with other Project Managers / Team Leaders to address and resolve issues and concerns at the operational level
- Facilitating key work groups to gather requirements and gain consensus; and,
- Leading the development and management of Quality Management Plans
- Experience as a Project Manager conducting the following activities related to the management and oversight of an IM/IT project:
- Leading the development of project and business related documents (i.e. Business Cases, Project Portfolio Status Reports, Project Charter, Critical Path etc.)
- Directing the development of materials and delivering communications products targeted to senior management (i.e. Project briefings, Dashboard updates, Steering Committee meetings, etc,) regarding IM/IT program progress and concerns.
- Experience identifying and recording changes, issues, risks and interdependencies and taking steps to mitigate risk.
- Experience developing and/or managing:
- The creation of work breakdown structure and program schedule during the execution of project
- Project budgets
- The execution of work plans
- Scope tracking and reporting
- Interdependencies
- The provision of status reports to management
- Has obtained relevant Project Management certification and/or equivalent)
