About the Job

Our client has a requirement for a Technology Risk Specialist for a 12 Month Contract opportunity. The position is located in Toronto.

 

Role

As a Technology Risk Specialist the candidate will represent TRM&IS to both the Digital Channels business and associated IT support teams. The candidate will be familiar with client’s policies and standards and will use the Enterprise Technology Risk & Control Framework to assess risk, and identify and recommend mitigating controls. The candidate will monitor compliance with control recommendations, and will report to TRM&IS management on status and application risk profiles.

 

Responsibilities

• The candidate will participate in projects and provide project security oversight by reviewing and providing feedback on project documentation from the viewpoint of fraud and threat risk.
• The candidate will also be required to facilitate completion of the required Enterprise Technology Risk & Control Framework artifacts (Business Application Risk Assessments, Control Designs and Control Gap Reports) and may execute Vendor/Third Party assessments and/or provide oversight on assessments conducted by third party partners in support of identifying and verifying the required controls.
• The candidate may also participate in review of Third Party Contracts to ensure the appropriate technology controls are included.

 

Requirements

• Prior experience with security relating to websites, web services, and mobile applications as well as exposure to emerging mobile technologies is also required.
• Information security experience, minimum 3 years.
• CISSP certification.
• Self-starter with the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects, subject to time constraints.
• A high degree of personal initiative and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Ability to work both in teams and independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent PC skills; proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
