Job Description

Our client has a requirement for a Sr.Web Developer for 12 months Contract. The position is located in Toronto, Ontario

Role

The Web Producer will work closely with internal and external resources and business units to make content updates for the bank publicly accessible web sites in support of campaigns, new product launches and other initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for investigating and suggesting new technologies to help keep the bank web properties current in the online space.

Key Accountabilities

• Web page and mobile development
• Web content management via SDL Tridion
• Ensure all pages developed conform to the bank web standards (including accessibility best practices)
• Work closely with the design team to ensure that pages being developed adhere to branding and graphic standards/requirements.
• Provide analysis and design feedback for new web content requests/enhancements in order to identify specific tasks required for the initiative and provide time/cost estimates for web production.
• Defect management
• Monitor competitor websites and new technologies
• Consult with Production Manager / Technical Lead / Publishing Manager and other partners to obtain a clear understanding of project requirements and take on project lead role.
• Recommend new initiatives to management team which add functionality and value to customers' web experiences

Requirements and Qualifications

Must Have

• Experience working in a web development environment
• Expert knowledge of web page production technologies, including but not limited to: XHTML, HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, Jscript, JSP and .NET
• Additional technology experience an asset, including: SQL, XML/XSLT, Java, Perl
• Knowledge of accessibility legislation including WCAG, WAI and 508 standards
• Knowledge of web graphical design and optimization tools, such as Photoshop
• 5 Years of experience in Web development
• 5 Years of experience in Mobile Development
• 5 Years of experience in XHTML
• 5 Years of experience in HTML
• 5 Years of experience in CSS
• 5 Years of experience in CSS3
• 5 Years of experience in JavaScript
• 5 Years of experience in Jscript
• 5 Years of experience in Content management system
• 5 Years of experience in JPS
• 5 Years of experience in .NET
• 3 Years of experience in XML
• 3 Years of experience in Photoshop
• 5 Years of experience in Documentation
