Job Description

Our client is looking for a Library Technician for a 5 month contract period on Ottawa Ontario. Possibility of extension.

Qualifications

• Must possess a library technician diploma with a minimum of one year of work experience in a library within the last 3 years.
• Must have minimum valid Enhanced Reliability clearance
• Experience in providing a broad range of library services in at least two of the following areas: reference, cataloguing, acquisitions, interlibrary loans and document delivery services.
• Experience providing original and derived MARC catalogue records for a wide variety of publications according to established policies, procedures, and standards
• Experience in researching and retrieving cataloguing or bibliographic information from various sources such as the internet and bibliographic databases.
• Experience, as a Project Coordinator, with responsibility for assisting the Project Manager in capturing the Project Planning documents, Scheduling and Cost management functions for an IM/IT project.
