Junior Account Manager

Zylog Systems (Canada) Ltd. is currently seeking for Junior Account Managers for our Vancouver office.  This position will influence revenue across Zylog product and service offering by gathering new leads, up selling and promoting Zylog products and services.  This includes, but is not limited to the following activities:  Prospecting, Cold Calling, Account Management, Forecasting, Pipeline Management, etc.

Primary responsibilities will include:

Account Management 60%
  • Support National Accounts team in local markets including the following activities:
    • Client and consultant  meetings
    • Candidate and prospect interviews
    • Some recruiting
  • Initiate outbound calls  to build relationships   
  • Gather information to help grow the prospect database, and support the data-gathering phase of the sales process with follow-up calls.
  • Understand , explain and negotiate  client contract and ensure non standard client Master Service Agreements are in line with Zylog corporate policies
  • Deliver sales presentations, ,.
  • Ongoing follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and ongoing business
  • Stay current with company products, services, resources, programs, policy and procedures; research information on competitors, industry trends, prospects and customers.
  • Develop relationships with All levels  of technical and business decision makers to contribute in building sales strategies.
  • Contribute to the process of screening resumes to meet client and role specifications.
  • Follow up with candidates and clients to receive feedback relating to client and customer satisfaction. 
  • Successfully manage and overcome prospect’s objections.
  • Assist in the development of RFP’s and RFQ’s for established clients and client prospects.
  • Understand and report on competitive environment
  • Participate in marketing events such as trade shows.

New Business Development 40%
  • Initiate outbound "cold-calls" to generate new and recurring accounts.

  • Ongoing follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and ongoing business
  • Stay current with company products, services, resources, programs, policy and procedures; research information on competitors, industry trends, prospects and customers.
  • Develop relationships with senior-level technical and business decision makers to contribute in building sales strategies.
  • Contribute to the process of screening resumes to meet client and role specifications.
  • Follow up with candidates and clients to receive feedback relating to client and customer satisfaction. 
  • Successfully manage and overcome prospect’s objections.
  • Assist in the development of RFP’s and RFQ’s for established clients and client prospects.
  • Participate in marketing events such as trade shows.

Specific skills and experience required for this position are:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years Sales, Account Management and Business Development experience in Human Capital Management (HCM) or Recruiting Solutions or high tech industry required.
  • Previous Software Sales experience required.
  • Previous Human Resources/Recruitment experience preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of the staffing industry business and hiring cycle
  • Proven track record at achieving measurable sales goals in a high paced environment.
  • An impeccable ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbal and written a must.
  • Technical competence required.  (Ability to comprehend and then articulate technical jargon in easily understood terms.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
  • A highly motivated self-starter.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated complex problem solving skills.
  • Dynamic, adaptable, and proactive with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • A valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to travel by Airplane and Car frequently required.
