Job Description
 Our client has a requirement for Project Manager-Mortgage Lending  for a 6 month contract to perm opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

Role
Our Client is aggressively searching for a Senior Project Manager to provide immediate and ongoing success in their delivery practice on key projects.  If you are a Project Manager within the Finance industry, and have over 7 years of Senior Project Management experience, we’d like to hear from you.  The successful candidate will be expected to manage all phases of project with emphasis on the technology components ensuring
  • Manage the project solution components from initiation to post implementation
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, work breakdown structures and associated timelines
  • Develop and maintain the cost estimates, resource plans and any other documentation required to control the project budget
  • Lead the project team through problem determination and issue resolution as required
  • Communicate and reinforce the project methodologies and standards developing all project artifacts as required
  • Manage and coach team leads and their deliverables based on timelines established
  • Provide status to required managers/senior executives and Project Management Office
  • Conduct failure mode analysis cause and effect in conjunction with the client
  • Direct the project team; provide ongoing advice and guidance
  • Manage client, vendor and technology relationships as required and make recommendations to senior management as the opportunities arise
  • Proactively anticipate issues and/or organizational challenges and develop mitigating strategies
  • Monitor all testing and implementation activities ensuring that all phases/aspects of testing are covered based on the project

Requirements or Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success in delivering large, multi-phase projects across organizational boundaries
  • Extensive management experience with application development methodologies and standards
  • Experience implementing policy administration systems or CRM is desirable
  • Experience with Offshore development
  • Experience with Client management and negotiation
  • Experience working with/managing third party vendors
  • Ability to handle difficult clients and client project situations
  • PMP or equivalent Project Management capability
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in technology development/project management
  • Effectively manage the business relationship and ensure deliverables align with the business strategy and direction
  • Ability to manage people and build highly motivated and empowered teams
  • Experience in managing senior level technical staff
  • Ability to investigate potential solutions, both internal and external to our client
  • Good presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills exhibiting excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Effective/creative problem solving skills and the ability to lead the team through difficult problem analysis and resolution
