Job Description

Our client has a requirement for an Application Specialist (Mainframe) for a 6 month contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

Role

The Integration team will work closely with the ESB team in the implementation of a modernization initiative within the Client.  The team will be critical component of a multi team approach in implementing Guide Wire and data transmissions from existing Client systems to the new application

We are creating an Integration Team and require a group of experienced persons. They should be able to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Day to day management of the specified project deliverables on time as per the project plan.
• Actively ensure knowledge transfer through partnership with WSIB’s Application Maintenance Team.
• Ensure full system documentation is complete and reflect all current changes.

Requirements or Qualifications

• Working with below technical environment
• Server Operation System: Linux in Cloud and AIX
• IDE: Eclipse or RAD (Rational Application Developer)
• Version control: GIT

Extensive experience with

• Java development experience, design and integration
• J2EE, JMS Messaging and IBM MQ knowledge
• Sprint Framework
• Web Services, including SOAP, XML and XML Schema
• SQL, store procedure and RDBMS. Oracle and SQL Server preferred
• ESQL.
• TSO and CICS
• COBOL programming experience, understand JCL and control card.
• DB2 and Supra on M/F
• SAS
• IBM MQ on Mainframe
