Job Description
 Our client has a requirement for Senior Project Manager for a 1 year contract opportunity.  The position is located in Toronto.

Role
  • Proven expertise in managing multi-facetted, multi-line of business, phased Contact Centre transformation and implementation projects.
  • Experience with customer experience design and associated business process design, design and development of all supporting telephony (IVR, routing, CTI), design and development of a CRM system, design and development of a robust change management program to support.  
  • Develop the basic plans for executing and controlling the project includes budget estimating, development of schedule, risk plan, planning phase plan, business case, elaboration phase plan, project implementation plan in accordance with Public Sector standard project methodology.
  • Develop the vendor management plan and provide feedback on Public Sector Project Management Governance Framework.
  • Develop resource requirements, roles and responsibilities, project organization structure

Requirements
  • Lead cross functional / divisional teams,
  • Acquire resources, develop project team, mentor staff, resolve conflicts
  • Manage the vendor
  • Facilitate, coordinate and disseminate communications relating to project execution to all relevant stakeholders
  • Monitoring:
  • Closely monitor project activities through formal or informal reports for conformity to approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality
  • Determine cause and take corrective actions when deviations from planned performance occur
  • Take advantage of positive deviations
  • Monitor risk trigger conditions for contingency plans and review the execution of risk responses while evaluating their effectiveness.

Qualified Candidates will have 
  • Education level of a University degree in business or technical related field
  • An enabler with at least 10 years progressive experience in Project Management, managing a variety of types and complexities of projects in a formal Project Management capacity with specific experience in planning, managing and delivering the strategic, tactical and operational initiatives within the organization
  • Expert knowledge and proven project management skills in accordance with best practices in Project Management Life Cycle
  • Solid business and planning process understanding
  • Excellent leadership, supervisory, organizational and analytical skills
  • Highly Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), MS Project, MS Visio, Lotus Notes
  • Effective in facilitating large group work sessions
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively work effectively with all levels of staff and management including senior management and executives, and with the ability to work as part of a team

  • Strong Project Risk Management skills
  • Procurement process expertise
  • Experience in managing external vendors and providers

  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation is an asset
  • Experience in managing transformational and business projects is an asset
  • Strong background and experience in deploying Client Experience and Business Process Management tools / solutions
  • Experience implementing in both stand alone and managed services is an asset
  • Experience in designing and deploying the delivery of Customer Relationship Management capabilities
  • Expertise in all aspects of telephony
