About the Job

Our client has a requirement for Bilingual Senior Project Manager for a six month contract opportunity. The position is located in downtown Toronto.

Role

We are currently seeking a seasoned project manager that can manage a large IT Service Management project. Financial experience would be an asset. The ideal candidate must have strong ITIL implementation experience, strong SDLC & PMLC background, extensive background with ITSM implementations within an enterprise level environment.

This project includes updating existing tools supporting Enterprise ITSM processes, creating a communication plan and considering organizational implications.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the completion of an upgrade to a service management tool set, implementation of Change Management processes and tools, performance testing and change communication activities. The incumbent will also manage internal and vendor activities to implement the next release of the ITSM tool set including Canadian French language support. The incumbent will play a major role in the piloting of Request Management. The incumbent will need to work through ambiguity and must be able to work with little or no supervision.

Requirements or Qualifications

• IT Service Management
• Vendor Management
• PMP
• ITIL certification
• Expertise in MS Project, Excel, Visio and Powerpoint
• Budgeting and estimating experience
• Infrastructure
• SDLC and PMLC
• Bilingual English/French would be an asset
• Full life cycle development experience. Experience with proven project methodology tools.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Strong project management skills to bring teams together to build consensus to be successful
• Be able to work in an environment that has many competing priorities where resources are not always available
• Strong time management skills
• Strong communications skills where they leverage all communication options and not afraid to pick up the phone and speak to someone. Does not rely on email
• Strong vendor project management
• Ability to continually track status of core project tasks
• Ability to build and maintain a project plan and task list and baseline for milestone dates
• Understanding of PMLC and SDLC within a financial environment would be an asset
• Very good understanding of ITSM tools and process implementation
• Strong documentation skills
• Experience with building business cases and create presentations for executive stakeholders
• Strong project reporting skills to understand when to create a PCR or change the status of a project
• Personable and friendly style and nature
• Does not take no for an answer, always looking to find a better way and faster way to do something while working in the bounds of process, but not afraid to push against it
• Proficient in cost management (estimating, tracking, forecasting)
• Experience at taking over projects already in progress
